Discharger
Product Code : JA-ELA-5305
The Discharger (SKU JA-ELA-5305) is made for discharging charged objects in electrostatics experiments. It has small brass spheres attached to an insulated handle, so the conductor can be brought across a charged body, a Leyden jar or a capacitor while the user holds it clear of the charge. Its overall length is about 30 cm. JaincoLab makes it for school and college physics labs that run electrostatics practicals and demonstrations.

Applications of the electrostatic discharger
The electrostatic discharger is used to remove the charge from conductors, Leyden jars and capacitors at the end of an experiment or between readings, so apparatus is safe to handle and ready for the next trial.
- Discharging Leyden jars and capacitors
- Resetting charged conductors between readings
- Electrostatic induction demonstrations
- Physics labs in schools and colleges
Scope of supply and ordering
The listing covers one discharger with brass spheres on an insulated handle.
Minimum order quantity, lead time and packing are confirmed on each quotation for the number of dischargers and the delivery destination.
Frequently asked questions
What is the discharger used for?
