The Floating Density Ball (SKU JA-MLE-9371) is a sealed, water-filled stainless steel sphere whose overall density is very close to that of water at room temperature. As a floating density ball demonstration, it floats when placed in cool water at 15°C and sinks in warm water at 30°C, showing students in one memorable step that the density of water changes with temperature and that floating depends on density rather than weight alone.
