The Density Block Set (SKU JA-MLE-9362) is a set of four equal-sized 3.2 cm metal cubes, each of a different metal and fitted with a hook, for density and buoyancy experiments. This density block set with hooks contains aluminium, brass, lead and steel cubes; in the lead-free version a copper cube replaces the lead one. Because the cubes share the same volume, students can compare their masses directly and, using the hooks, weigh them in air and in water with a spring balance.
