The Prism Set (SKU JL-LEP-10354) is an acrylic prism set of three solid optical blocks, a rectangular block, a right-angle prism and a semi-circular block, each frosted on one side, for demonstrating the refraction of light. Students trace rays through the blocks to measure angles of incidence and refraction and to observe total internal reflection. Applications of the acrylic prism set
The prism set is used for ray-tracing practicals in which a narrow beam is shone through each block on paper, so students can mark the incident and emergent rays, measure angles and relate them to the refractive index of acrylic.
